Valimontie government agency building, Kouvola
The government agency building on Valimontie serves as a centre for public administration and provides a wide range of facilities and services for public administration actors.
If an organisation has usage rights to the shared work environment, its employees may work at the location. Next to the conference centre, there are also a few bookable workstations available for central government employees whose organisations do not have usage rights to the shared work environment. For more detailed instructions, see the section Workstations and meeting rooms.
The existing multi-activity environment in the government agency building located at Valimontie 5 in Kouvola was remodelled into a modern shared work environment for 10 central government actors. In addition, Suomi-piste service point was created in the building to bring government services centrally close to citizens. The premises in their entirety were opened in spring 2024.
The Finnish Tax Administration, the Government ICT Centre Valtori, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, the National Land Survey of Finland, the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, the Finnish Consumer and Competition Authority, Defence Properties Finland and Senate Properties operate in the shared work environment.

Workstations and meeting rooms
If an organisation has usage rights to the shared work environment, its employees may work at the location. Next to the conference centre, there are also a few bookable workstations available for central government employees whose organisations do not have usage rights to the shared work environment. An individual employee may use these workstations up to 12 times per year.
Workstations are booked via the Facility reservations in Senate’s e-service. If the reservation system is not available to the organisation, a workstation can be booked through the reception services of the property concerned. The person making the reservation must use their work email to provide reception services with their name, organisation, phone number, email address, and the date and time of the reservation.
The meeting rooms in the government agency building are solely for the use of tenants. Central government actors can reserve meeting rooms and register their visitors for meetings directly in the e-service facility reservation system. There is no restaurant in the building.
Suomi-piste service point
Customer services of the Finnish Tax Administration, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, the National Land Survey of Finland, the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland and the Arts Promotion Centre Finland are centred around the modern customer service premises of the government agency building in Kouvola.
Part of the customer service premises can also be used as a remote service space. Providing services remotely improves access to services and reduces the need to travel. The remote access solution is being developed in the remote and interpretation service project being implemented in the context of the project to renew central government’s service and premises network.
