Senate Properties operates in four business areas based on customership: Ministries and Special Premises, Defence and Security, Offices as well as Development Premises.

Senate Properties’ business area organisation structure was revised on 1 January 2011. The business areas now focus on customers with similar functions and service requirements. The goal is to develop an even more customer-oriented and cost-effective working method.

Investments, customer service, letting of properties, building management and matters related to building maintenance are the responsibility of Regional and Process Unit, which consists of four regional units: Region Southern Finland, Region Western Finland, Region Eastern Finland and Region Northern Finland. There are 13 offices operating all over the country.

In addition to the business areas and the regional organisation, the Senate Properties’ operations are supported by service units which are Finance, Human Resources and Development, Strategy, Development and Information Management, Corporate communications and Corporate internal auditing
